This morning the Harris County Commissioners approved the Dynamo Stadium deal 5-0. Amazing times. Here's the word according to the Houston Chronicle.

Shortly afterwards team President Oliver Luck issued a thank you via the Dynamo website. In the words of Luck: "Dynamo fans, you have been rock-solid in your support of this effort. On behalf of the team, I want to thank you for taking the time to communicate with and appear before City Council and Commissioners Court. Your unwavering belief in the project did not go unnoticed by our elected officials, and because of your dedication, we are on the cusp of something very special. Thank you!"

It's a big day Houston fans. As Oliver Luck said, we are on the cusp of something very special and it's going to be a day beneficial for the entire city of Houston. It's a big step in the development of the east end of Downtown and a move in the right direction moving the City of Houston to a truly world class level. Cheers to the city, the Dynamo, and yes, even the County Commissioners.
